As I have said before Corb has his own way of communication, here's his "yuck face" He has major tactile defensiveness of his hands and face.

I want to publicity thank my mother for her awesome gift she gave me today. She showed up at my house with a box...it was a lap top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

I have wanted a laptop for quite sometime. I hate being upstairs when Corb is downstairs...although I know what he's doing, I can't interact with him & do work at the same time. THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! Mother...it's the best gift I have ever gotten.

He changed again

I don't know if any of you remember but for a while after Corbie's accident, I had theses feelings, it's one of those unexplainable things (I guess, for religious people, it would be similar to a sign from GOD)

I guess the only way I can kinda explain it, is that it's an over whelming feeling of change. Like Corb grew in some way. Him & I's bond became stronger...like I said it's unexplainable.

Also my Corb man goes to bed EVERY night without crying, he wakes up once a night & just needs to be rolled back onto his side & he's back out. LOVE IT!!!

Maybe...just maybe

Today was Corbie's speech evaluation, at the new therapy center that I'm trying to get him into. I heard a few things from the therapist, that has really made my YEAR. I left the room & when I came back, she said, you sure he doesn't say momma, I'm like no. She said, well I thinks he does, because when you left, he was making a sound, very close to momma & he visibly didn't like that you left. My spoiled boy ***blushing*** She also told Corb, you are like candy, I can't get enough of you. Another thing she said was he is so “in there” & that he just has so much potential. You know how nice that was to hear from a therapist, not just us!!! We all know he's going to keep going places :-D

She did also agree the pump would be awesome for him. YEAH, all the more people I talk to, all the more I know my decision is the right one.

With all the work that has been put into getting Corb approved for therapy, MA better just hurry up & approve our requests UGH. He's just so deserves this.

Communication....

A few of you said...it was nice to hear Corb...chatting, talking, jabbering, what ever...everyone said...well that's the unfortunate part...explaining who Corb... truly is...to you all...out there in Corbie's little part of the world wide web...is tough...through only his videos and my words...I have no way of sharing Corbie's communication with you all...because his way of talking...isn't like others...

I know...EVERY...single sound he makes...what it's for...what to do about it..do I need to run...or can I get to it in a sec...I even know (by his breathing) when he thinks something is funny...but not funny enough to out right laugh at...he talks to his toys hanging above him...when he seems someone he knows...he lights up...he's a way....BIG TIME...flirt...oh yeah...he “bitches”....he really hates when his shows end...I can hear him...right now... Our computer is upstairs...I have a video monitor...so I can see him...but I don't need the sound on....I can CLEARY hear him....without it...LOL

He is an amazing child...his understanding is an unknown...but I know his understanding through...his being...is GREAT...even know that ain't the normal...I think it's what makes him...more special then any one of us...

Timed...

I timed how long it takes me to make my special needs snapped body suit (onesie).

It's amazing it takes less then 9 minutes.

I'm also working on fixing the standie (harness)....I will tape him in it as soon as all the kinks are worked out.
